Shibu Bhaskar: an activist in conservation of nature and a talented photographer based in Kerala. A simple man who prefers a family-life and always open and willing to help people who love nature and eager to explore it. He has not been able to garner the popularity he deserves due to reluctance in self-promotion and lack of media-glare.

There are numerous awards to testify the real merit of his outstanding works in the field of wildlife photography; which he earned through tremendous amount of hard work and investing a good part of his life. He is involved in many environmental programmes organized by both Government and various Non Governmental Organizations.

When not at work he is busy with wildlife-painting and sculpture; which he considers only as just hobbies but these works are enough to delight any connoisseur who pays a random visit to his residence. His innovativeness has helped him to successfully develop a macro lens for extreme close ups in photography and a telescope for bird watching and astronomy. Shibu –as he is affectionately called- is only happy to entertain a visitor and explain to him about even the most intricate details regarding each and every piece.

Though a mechanic by profession his real passion lies in bird watching and wild life photography. His dedication in rescuing and rehabilitating local wild life is well appreciated along with his capability of making rapport with wild creatures and ability to sense their mood and preference intuitively. He has immense knowledge about herpetofauna(study related to reptiles and amphibians pertaining to a particular region)butterflies,birds,mammals and dragonflies.His other fields of interest are wildlife painting, tool designing and making, farming, astronomy, gardening and adventure trekking.
