Blettia graminifolia D.Don, Prodr. Fl. Nepal. 29. 1825. Arundina bambusifolia Lindl., Gen. Sp. Orch. 125. 1831; Wight 1851:8.t.1661; J.D.Hook.1890:857. South Indian populations of this species markedly differ from the Himalayan counterparts in being shorter in stature, having short leaves and not fully opening but brightly coloured flowers. Occurrence : Trivandrum, Idukki and Palghat Districts. Distribution : Indo-Malesia to Pacific Islands. |
