Flickingeria Hawkes

An Indo-Malesian genus of about 65-70 species of epiphytic orchids, Flickingeria is represented in India by 7 species. Only one species is known to occur in Kerala .

Originally described by Dalzell based on a Stocks collection from Ram Ghat made in August 1851.

Occurrence : Trivandrum , Pathanamthitta , Idukki, Thrissur , Palghat and Wayanad Districts.

Distribution : Regional Endemic (Maharashtra , Karnataka , Kerala and Tamil Nadu).
