Geodorum Jackson

An Indo-Malesian genus of about 10 species of terrestrial orchids , geodorum is represented in India by 3 species . Only one species is known to occur in Kerala .

Limodorum densiflorum Lam., Encycl. 3 : 576. 1791-1792.

Lamarck's (1791-1792) Limodorum densiflorum was soley based on Rheede's (1692) Bela Pola . This was transferred to Geodorum by Schlechter .

Occurrence : Trivandrum , Quilon , Thrissur, Palghat Districts.

Distribution : Indo-Malesia.
