Related to Pecteilis susannae (L.) Rafin., a species widespread in eastern Asia from Northeast India , China down to northern Malaysia and Java to Amboina , and characterized by having an orbicular dorsal sepal and less laciniate sidelobes of lip . Pecteilis gigantea , on the contrary , has a rhomboidal dorsal sepal and deeply laciniate sidelobes for the lip . Occurrence : Trivandrum , Pathanamthitta , Idukki, Thrissur and Palghat Districts . Distribution : India and Pakistan. |
