Satyrium Swartz

A predominantly African genus of about 100 species of terrestrial orchids with two species extending to Asia . Only one species is known to occur in India , also recorded from kerala .

This is a highly variable species with many colour forms

Occurrence : Trivandrum and Idukki Districts.

Distribution : From India , Sri Lanka to Nepal , Bhutan and Burma .
