A world wide genus of about 42 species of terrestrial orchids , Spiranthes is represented in India bu two species . Only one species occurs in Kerala .

This is a highly variable species .

Occurrence : idukki and Palghat Districts.

Distribution : Indo-Malesia to Australia .
