Its limit is upto one or one-and-half dands (4 or 6 koles) from the paaduka or jagathi of the adhishtaana or from the uttharapuram of the sreekovil to the inner side of the wall of the antha-haara. This measurement is applicable only in respect of the rear and the two sides of the main sreekovil and not in respect of the front of the temple where the valiambalam is located. It is noted that the valiambalam and all sides of the temple are eka-yoni for deities facing west. On the other hand for temples facing other sides valiambalam is prathi-yoni of the garbha-grha and sides of naalambalam eka-yoni.
