Maradu Kottaram Bhagavathy Temple

This temple is situated in Maradu at Emakulam district. ' Maradu Kottaram is the summer house of the kings of Cochin, and the presiding deity here is Bhagawathy who is housed in this Kottaram, I (Palace). There is a saying that the Bhagawathy was the presiding deity and parra devatha of the dignitaries known as Mangalapally Achans belonging to the Paravoor palace. The deity faces west and poojas are offered twice in a day. Sub deities are Shasthavu, Nagarajavu, Gandakarnan, Ganapathy and Brahmarakshas.
