Mula vill

Mula vill is made up of bamboo, similar to bow. It is peculiar that the string is also made of bamboo. It has a length of 2 1/2 feet and has a width of 3 inches. The hooks of the strings are the nodes of the bamboo itself. In some temples instead of itayka this mula-vill is used for sopaana-sangeetha.

It is essential to mention some of the ritualistic arts where the above mentioned musical iIistruments are used. The common ritualistic arts are Sopaana sangeetha, pancha-vaadya, panchaari-mela, paanti-mela, thaayambaka, kombu-paatt and kuzhal-paatt.
