The manthra-chaithanya which has been created on the mandapa, mandala, ankura-paathra (mula-paali) and adhi-vaasa homa are then transferred to the bimba (by ud-vaasa). By reciting utthishta- manthras the bimba is taken out through the main entrance of the mandapa in procession to the garbha-grha by pradakshina (circumambulation) around the sreekovil with the accompaniments in a specified order, ie., Kutthuvilakk (lighted pedestal lamp), marappaani, ashtamangalya vessel, neeraajanam, karkkaris (small pots in the shape of kinti having number of nozzles) water, containing different types of sanctified water. Aacharaya with water-filled conch in hand, bimba (with the deity's leg, if any, pointing towards the front) taken by a pari-karmi besides other parikarmis taking various items like vessels containing ghee etc and kalasas like (nidrd-kalasa, kumbhesa-kalasa etc.) and lastly Yajamaana with folded hands. If the idol is of Subramanya, Kaumara-kalasa precedes Kumbhesa-kalasa. When the pradakshina completes one round and reaches before the garbha-dwaara, the bimba is respectfully received and arghya (generally rice, durva , grass, flowers or simply purified water) offered. Then by reciting moola-manthra the bimba is taken inside the sreekovil and another pradakshina of the peetha (which has already been installed) is done. The bimba is then kept behind the point of installation of the idol on a separate peetha. Again arghya is offered and water is poured thrice through the nozzle of the karkkari around the peetha and bimba.
