This is done on the afternoon of the second day.adhivaasa or fifth day prior to prathishta of main deity).For this the bimbas of the deities are to be immersed in water by the Silpi at an auspicious time. The acquisition of bimba from Silpi is generally known as bimba- pangraha but its functions extend over to the rites of nethrollekhana and bimba-sodhana which are explained below.
