Vellichenna Chertha Inji Chammanthi - Ginger Chutney with Coconut Oil

Ingredients of Vellichenna Chertha Inji Chammanthi

Makes: 75 gms

7 ½ -cm piece ginger, chopped

6 dry red chillies, torn into pieces

4 shallots, chopped

A walnut-sized ball of seedless tamarind

1 stalk curry leaves

½ tsp salt

3 tsp coconut oil

Method of Preparation of Vellichenna Chertha Inji Chammanthi

  • Mix all ingredients together except oil and grind to a coarse paste.
  • Mix in oil.
